Industrial Electrician
Job Description: Company Background: My Client is a progressive and diversified premium food solutions company. They are dedicated to bringing consumers high quality foods created by our innovative culinary team. Their products are available in supermarkets, mass merchandisers, convenience stores, wholesale clubs, and restaurant chains throughout North America and in Central and South America. Summary: The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment. This position requires the use of appropriate shop/hand tools and analytical devices in inspecting, testing circuits and wiring of electrical equipment for safety and functionality. This individual takes appropriate actions to ensure that completed work meets and/or exceeds all quality and safety requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for maintenance and repair of electrical and pneumatic equipment. • Install and maintain all processing equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic system components, conveyor systems, etc. • Make technical and electrical repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electronic equipment such as AC and DC motors, relay and control equipment, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, panel boards, and motor control centers (MCC’s). • Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLC’s). • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Massachusetts Electrical Journeyman’s License. • A minimum six years experience, including the ability to repair and trouble shoot production equipment; must be experienced in electrical work. • At least 2-5 years experience as a maintenance electrician in an industrial facility. • Experience in instrumentation and sensor calibration. • Experience with variable frequency drives. • Must have experience working in the food manufacturing industry. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment where a broad range of tasks may be required. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills • Must possess a strong safety ethic.
