Electro - Mechanical Tech

Position Overview
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and electrical systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Assists in the training of new A & B Maintenance Operators
• Maintain and install all types of systems and equipment as specified by leadership; such as motors, gear boxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic valves and cylinders, transformers, wiring, switches, heaters, alarm systems, etc.
• Applies knowledge of the plant equipment, power and light systems to locate and evaluate electrical/mechanical malfunctions and repairs same by such methods as deemed appropriate.

Minimum Requirements
• Must meet Export Control Regulations (ITAR)
• High School Diploma
• 2-4 Years experience in a Manufacturing Environment doing Electrical and Mechanical work
• Must have ,or acquire within nine (9) months, a Black Seal Boiler License

Other Skills/Abilities
• Proficient in P.M. of all plant equipment (Electrical and Mechanical);
• Ability to weld, braze, solder and use cutting torch and related equipment.
• Knowledge of location of power distribution system such as location of substations, sub-feeders, and areas served by these substations and apply such knowledge in trouble shooting or making repairs.
• Must be able to perform all of the duties of a “B” Maintenance Technician.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code book.
• Proficient in preventative maintenance of both Mechanical and Electrical equipment in the plant
• Possess some knowledge of programmable controllers and associated equipment.
